• I gave you a copy of last year’s paper 3 exam, please do it by next Wednesday (2^nd March). It is also on the blog in the post ‘SRG – Revision and take-home quiz’. Feel free to look things up, you are not really trying to do this first one under exam conditions or time constraints.
• I have put some more practice questions up on the blog… (in SRG-Revision post) the first few pages will be familiar as they are the same questions you had for part 1, but the rest are for part 2 of the option. (Moderately useless markscheme also on blog). Do as much of this as humanly possible before next week.
• I have posted a Take-Home Quiz for part 2 of the option. It will be due on Wed 9^th. You can ask for help if you need it. (Whatever you need to help you learn it). I doubt you will be able to do the last question until after class on Wed 2nd… we will be going through a similar question then on that day.

Here is my plan for the next couple of weeks.

• Wed 2^nd march – hand out the full set of proofs (go over briefly), go over the May 2010 P3 exam (that you will have done for homework), go over the ‘gotcha’ question. This is the LAST lesson on the option.
• Friday 4^th March – Begin Vectors, Cartesian ( i, j, k) vectors in 2D and 3D
• Tues 8^th March – scalar product and apps, lines in 2D and 3D
• Wed 9^th March – vector product and apps (Take-Home Quiz DUE)
• Friday 11^th March – Planes (Cartesian, vector, parametric form)
• Tues 15^th March – TEST on OPTION
• Wed 16^th March – Planes (normal form)
• Friday 18^th March – Intersecting lines and planes

We can do this (I think) (I hope), but you are going to have to do some serious homework, and you will have to start asking me for help during tutorials.

 For CulCon folks: please try to do the May 2010 P3 exam and the review questions before you go away. Also, I suggest you also start on the Take-Home quiz. We’ll make the take-home quiz due on Friday 11^th March for you 3.
